If you’ve found your dream home but you’re not sure about taking on a project we can help. Remotely or with a visit to the house, we can look at the bones of the house, help with the vision and give you some guidance on tackling the red tape.
Selling?
Maximising the potential of your house before you sell could help increase the asking price or get more potential buyers through the door. Re-thinking the spaces you have or getting planning for an extension might make all the difference to how buyers view your house.

How it works.
To get started, purchase a 30 minute video consultation with an Architect which will be followed up with a concise written guidance document.

Step 1.
Send us an email at hello@pickourbrains.co.uk.
We would love to hear about your ideas, large or small. Tell us what you want to get out of your project and let us know your rough budget. Include your address, photos and (if you have them) particulars of your house from when you purchased it. Rough dimensions might be useful and if you’ve seen images of other projects you like, please send these too.
Step 2.
Book in for a 30 minute video consultation to run through some options and discuss how to make the biggest impact within your budget.
The discussion will be led by your project but could include: the opportunity that your project presents, building costs and other costs to budget for, planning and permitted development rights, materials and construction techniques and information that will be required for planning, tender or construction.
Step 3.
You will receive a project specific document explaining the next steps for your project and a developed brief to help you get out of the starting blocks.
Renovating is a great way to achieve your dream home but there are lots of decisions to make. We will give you some guidance on the renovation process and the best way to use your budget.

Visit it.
If you would like us to visit a property that you own or are thinking of buying, we can schedule it in. We are based in the South West, London is in easy reach and we often find ourselves north of the border.

Sketch it.
A sketch may be enough for you to consolidate your ideas or get a builder on board. A simple idea could transform a space from square footage, to a design asset. This package includes a site visit.
From £375
Architect it.
If you need planning, other statutory approvals or this process has led you to realise that you need to appoint an architect, we can hook you up with our London and Bath based partner company AAVA Architects. Anything you have spent so far will be deducted from their fee.
